In 2007, after an 11 year career at Hewlett Packard, David left to start a web development business called Designhand Limited.

David had a hobby for web design, and finally came to the conclusion that this is what he wanted to do as a change in career. After being in IT for 25 years, it was time to start something of his own.

A year later in 2008, David formed a further business called Web Design Training Limited and began writing entry level courses in web-design and delivering them through a group of high schools in Auckland including Rutherford High School and Selwyn College. He now runs Web Training Courses which is an entity across Australia and New Zealand running web related training courses.

David has built over 200 websites over the last 13 years and in 2014 David completed a Certificate in Digital Marketing through the Marketing Association of New Zealand and also the Google Adwords Certification and formed the business Website Optimisers Limited.

David now resides in Cambridge, New Zealand and returns to Auckland and Melbourne regularly for customers and family. David also delivers training courses through Community Education at Rutherford College and Selwyn College as well as a venue in Melbourne with Web Training Courses.
